CoffeeScript'...Thanks @Bruce for your comments.<br /><br />CoffeeScript's object model is very similar to Typescript (right down to the examples/generated code on the respective homepages; although CS did come first) where they both use new. I personally prefer TS over CS as I prefer braces to delimit my blocks over whitespace (cue the CS/Python lovers). I also feel that CS is trying to hide the underlying JS when one should just embrace writing good JS to begin with :p<br /><br />+1 towards sticking with new then ;)Kieranshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09490329565445682251noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5048559083735694709.post-75306441790829326392014-02-17T16:47:22.004+11:002014-02-17T16:47:22.004+11:00Great article. I think that JavaScript's object model is crappy, but it's all we've got so you should use new. Coffee script provides a more robust class model, but it's not for everyone.Bruce Cooperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16586708689737167485noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5048559083735694709.post-63327830980513970952013-10-14T20:43:24.360+11:002013-10-14T20:43:24.360+11:00This explanation helped me really a lot. XP used unit testing (lowercase) long before people started making this "Unit Testing"/"Integration Testing" (uppercase) hard distinction. I think he's using in the lowercase sense.Nevhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14510037144005548363noreply@blogger.com
